Jerry's first music lessons got off to a very interesting start. Upon arriving at the church we learned that the power was out. This turned out to be a minor inconvenience during the first guitar lesson, since the guitars were mostly acoustic.  It was hot as blazes though because the fans wouldn't work. The turnout was very encouraging, over 20 eager beavers from about 5 or so different churches.

During the second hour it was time for keyboard lessons and still no power. It also began to rain and it was really dark in the room. So Jerry did some introductory things and showed them how to make a silent C chord. Everyone waited in line for their turn to try the silent chord. They all sounded great to my ears.
