For some reason, CNN International has gotten interested in the Khmer Rouge war crimes trial. These trials are about 20 years in the making and fraught with corruption. So the outcome is likely to be just a waste of $100 million dollars.

The short article tries to shed some light on WHY the Khmer Rouge came to power and how the USA is tangibly linked in culpability through its activities during the Vietnam War.
